In a business/office setting, micro-managing employees is the worst concept for business operations.
From collecting employees phone during work hours or insisting that they don’t take calls from 8am-5pm or clocking in on or before 8am (or get your salary slashed) or literally keeping them so occupied, they can’t even take the customary 1hour break in peace.
Even when they are working from home, you insist on them being active from 8am-5pm.
Are employees slaves? You feel because you are paying them, you own them from 8am-5pm?
Working from home should come with some flexibility. As long as s/he gets the job done at due time, it’s really insignificant if they followed the stipulated 8am-5pm.
People will eventually get fed up with the micro-management.
What am I even saying? It’s a clear definition of Employees managing Employees. Trying to climb the corporate ladder.
As a growing entrepreneur, I have to manage employees differently.
I don’t want to climb the corporate ladder. I want to own the Corporate ladder.
